This week, we begin a new quarterly class in the HCS chapel. It is called "Introduction to Theology: Practice, Process and Paradigms." Don't let the title discourage you from attending this class! Check out the HBC Quarterly newsletter (released later this week) for more information.
Sunday Morning Worship - Sunday, December 5 - 10:30-12:00
We begin our new Christmas sermon series this week. It will be on the doctrine of regeneration (i.e. the new birth).
This Week's Sermon: "The Definition of the New Birth" (John 3:1-8). Pastor Keith Maddy will be preaching. For those unable to regather at this time, you can join us online at 10:30 at our church's Youtube page, Facebook page or Website.
Communion Service - Sunday, December 5 - 5:00-6:30
Our monthly Lord's Supper gathering will take place again this Sunday evening. In addition to singing and prayer, taking communion and sharing, our brother (and missionary) Dwayne Baldwin will be giving the communion devotional.
Christmas Candlelight Service - Wednesday, December 22 - 6:00pm
We will have our annual Christmas Candlelight service on Wednesday, December 22. We will sing Christmas carols, pray, read Scripture, and light candles. Pastor Mark will bring a devotional from 1 Kings 10 called "A Visit with the King." We will also have our regular mid-week meal before the service at 5:15. Feel free to invite your family and friends out for this special service!
