On Friday, January 29, from 5:00 PM to approximately 7:00 PM, Heritage Baptist Church is hosting a time of food and fellowship for approximately 50 athletes from Brescia University. 

At around 5:00 PM that Friday, we’ll be serving the students a meal of fresh Italian food from 54 Pizza, including pastas, salads, desserts and drinks. After the meal, Sam Nocita will be speaking to the athletes on the subject of “Life after Athletics”. After the talk, Sam and Jim Gauley will lead them in games of “hoops”, mushroom ball, dodge ball and more. We’ll have some prizes, as well as give each student a small gift and some devotional material as they leave at 7:00 PM.

We’re in need of church members who would help serve the meal, as well as provide assistance in setting up and cleaning up after the event. Also, we ask that those who volunteer spend time talking to the students and making them feel welcome.

But most importantly, we’re asking everyone to be in prayer for these athletes and the ministry that can be provided to them by HBC.
